Riot Games and Redd+E partner to distribute rights for 2020 LoL Pacific Championship Series

14 JAN 2020 – Riot Games and Redd+E are partnering to distribute the broadcast rights for the 2020 Pacific Championship Series (PCS) in South-East Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.

PCS represents an evolution of League of Legends (LoL) professional esports in South-East Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong; combining the strengths of the League Master Series (LMS) and League of Legends Southeast Asia Tour (LST). The goal of the new league is to continue to increase the level of competition in the region while creating a more engaging experience for fans.

The PCS will kick off on 8 February 2020 with a new best-of-one format, with a double-elimination Playoffs. Broadcasts will be available in English, Mandarin and Thai.

The league is comprised of ten storied teams, which include Hong Kong Attitude, J Team (Taipei), Liyab Esports (Philippines), Nova Esports (Thailand), ahq eSports Club (Taipei), Alpha Esports (Taipei), G-Rex Gaming (Hong Kong), Resurgence (Singapore) and Talon (Hong Kong) are set to do battle. The 10th and final team to join the PCS will be announced in the near future.
